Every year, almost at the end of the working test season, who may compete against each other who have enrolled in the course of one of the top three in official DRC Working Test. That goes for every performance category, and there are regulations that impose an a "forced ascent" in the next class, but to explain it would take too long.
Cookie and I had even qualified this year in Ringstedt with 113 of 120 points and a 1st place in the beginners class and this year I wanted to observe the finals to be present. As the host, the Nuthe Urstromtal met south of Berlin, very good, because, well, for us to reach. Last year I had with Summer here at the "Nuthe Cup" in the F qualified for the finals, but the final date and the then existing arrangements (and our holiday in South Africa) kept me from both dogs after Lauda, somewhere in the to go south of the republic.
a wonderful weekend, good weather, some sunshine, three judges, two Britons and such a relaxed atmosphere among the approximately 30 participants and 11 (!!!!!!!) tasks on 2 days made this a real two days " Working Test highlight "this year. The task began to seem very simple, but all the judges put emphasis on the small details, the first-round task. Very often requires a clean-foot walk, ie without untimely, and high jump, but what belongs to the basic work of the dummy ports. The type of tax was assessed and, of course, use the dog's nose when a dummy is not carefully lay in the tall grass .. The first day took us 3 times with 20 points, 2 x 19 and even 17 points went a long way to the front (but we knew our exact scores yet not at all) and the second day very well.
The final task was a bustle in the forest, which was attended by six dogs simultaneously. We were on a forest road in a semicircle in front of us and the side of us in 30-40 feet away, the driver went through the woods, shots were fired, and two dummies, which could be seen but barely. In each driver group ran with a judge and Steve Crookes, the English stood with the dogs (and us). After the end of the driving was the group of dogs back a step and the first dog was sent (to us) in the area in front of us with a fairly high growth. There were in addition to the two fallen Dummies four others. Dog two then had a dummy, get out of the bustle that had fallen to the side of us. The six dummies on this site were at very different places, but most were between a group of trees, for the handler but not the dogs remained cautious and it also disappeared. Each dog was also sent to each of the two sides will take turns.

In the forest it was obviously not had the cookie (as I hoped very thoroughly) searched and the dummy was thrown in front of a group of trees, but had been taken already.
As I said, I had no plan, but a dog that looked pretty hardy and have it sent back again and again was, even though there was nothing more. The judge thought it would be next, but was not so sure, so I thought: let them seek times. Cookie also drifted to the left, actually to my mind too far to the left, but then I could not see it, because the road had a crest, behind her - sat well. And to further commands waited. Eventually, after a perceived eternity, she popped out of the woodwork again - with the missing dummy. But the waiting, and the questions (which I had not even seen), cost me 5 points.
We had gathered to 208 of 220 points over the two days, enough for a 6th place. Happy hour !!!!!! Third place had only 2 points more than us.
was happy and satisfied then back to Hamburg.
a really successful weekend, thanks to the good organization of it (according to own data) totally inexperienced but well-tempered special leader. It was all voices, even the camp fire that was burning on the waiting place, the minds warmed even further.
